Where the name came from
A Legacy in Motion: The Story of Scarritt Group
Scarritt Group didn’t start with a business plan—it started with something personal.
Since 1999: A Singular Focus
- Scarritt Group was founded with one mission: to elevate the role of Investigator Meetings in clinical research.
- Today, we average 300 meetings annually—not just events, but the very heart of our company’s identity.

A Personal Catalyst
- Our President, Adrienne Williams, was inspired by her father, Winthrop “Tuck” Williams.
- Tuck’s participation in a clinical trial for Parkinson’s disease transformed his quality of life.
- This experience ignited Adrienne’s commitment to advance medical research by supporting the people behind it.

Why Investigator Meetings Matter
- They are not simply touchpoints in a clinical trial.
- They are where science meets humanity—where the potential for new therapies is unlocked, one conversation at a time.
Why ‘Scarritt’? A Name With Purpose
- Nathan Scarritt, Adrienne’s great-great-great-grandfather, was a 19th-century Methodist minister and suffragist.
- In Kansas, he championed women’s right to vote, working alongside Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
- He organized rallies, funded campaigns, and helped secure the passage of the 1912 Kansas suffrage amendment.
- In 1875, he and his wife Amelia founded the Nashville Female College, a bold step toward women’s higher education—later part of Vanderbilt University.
