Tony McDonald, CFBE - Executive Director – APac Operations
Tony McDonald, Scarritt Group Executive Director, Asia Pacific Operations has extensive hospitality management service experience. After a 13 year career with Westin Hotels, managing various food and beverage divisions in 7 hotels internationally, Tony moved to Atlantic City, joining Resorts International Casino as Food and Beverage Director, where he was involved in pre-planning of the Trump Taj Mahal Casino. Relocating to Tucson, Tony joined the Sheraton El Conquistador Resort where he held the positions of Director of Banquet Operations and Food and Beverage Director of the El Conquistador Country Club. Tony relocated to Las Vegas as part of the pre-opening team for the Treasure Island Casino Hotel, closely followed by pre-opening planning of Bellagio, and then to The Mirage where Tony held the position of Director Food and Beverage. Following Las Vegas Tony joined Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and was involved in the pre-planning and sea trials of a new ship, "Radiance of the Seas". Tony also held the position of Food and Beverage Director on two other cruise ships. In 2005 Tony relocated back to Tucson to join Scarritt Group. During his years in the hospitality industry Tony has had the pleasure of managing services for Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush, President Mikhail Gorbachev and HRH Queen Elizabeth II as well as many Hollywood celebrities.
Tony's input when creating the standards of service provided by Scarritt Group provides the project team with the understanding and knowledge required to provide first class service the "Scarritt Way" to Key Opinion Leaders, Clinical Investigators and the Sponsor Teams. Tony's experience makes him a great negotiator with hotels, vendors and other service providers. His diverse background also gives him strong resources for creative and dynamic meetings regarding scientific knowledge delivery and retention.
